KUWAIT City A Filipina household service worker (HSW) who allegedly suffered physical abuse and fell off the second floor after her Kuwaiti employers pushed her to the window appealed for help in her hospital bed at the Al Razi Orthopedic Hospital.

Maria Charito Mabuna, 44-years old, married with two children, sustained a huge cut on her head that required 16 stitches.

The Eastern Samar native also suffered a fractured right arm and a broken spine after her fall.

Mabuna, who arrived in Kuwait on March 14 this year, recounted to ABS-CBN Middle East that her lady employer used to hit her head with any object that she could find inside the house.

"Palayok, frying pan, pang-linis, sapata, plato, timba, kung ano pong maisipan niyang ipukpok sa ulo ko," she said.

Mabuna narrated that there was even a time when her lady employer hit her head with a pail and it broke due to the heavy impact.

She claimed that her male employer also slapped her on three separate occasions after his wife prodded him to hit her. She endured everything for the sake of her family in the Philippines.

Mabuna underwent spinal surgery on October 19.

She is also worried for her family after super typhoon Yolanda hit Leyte and Samar on November 8, killing over 5,000 people. The typhoon also displaced more than 3.5 million people while 1,757 are still missing.

Sana buhay pa sila," she cried.

Her employers visited her at the hospital and her madam apologized to her but she is bent on pursuing the case against her and her husband.

Philippine Embassy Assistance To Nationals Unit head Mar Hassan visited Mabuna at the hospital. The embassy is set to file appropriate charges against the employers.
